Bahramji

Bahramji (Bahram Pourmand) is a Kurdish-Iranian musician whose work brings traditional Persian sound into dialogue with contemporary electronic music. Born in Kermanshah in 1952 and raised in a family surrounded by musicians, singers, and poets, he later moved to India, where his musical path developed through years of exploration and community life.

After moving to Ibiza in the early 2000s, Bahramji refined a distinctive sound that blends chillout, ambient, psychedelic dub, and dance music with Persian musical traditions. His music features instruments including the santur, Persian setar, and ney, together with vocals inspired by the mystical poetry of Rumi.

Across solo work and collaborations, Bahramji uses music as a universal language for connection, joy, tranquility, and cultural exchange, joining ancient and modern influences in a sound that bridges East and West.
